Your child did not earn credit in one or more of the courses listed below but achieved a minimum grade of 51, making them eligible for participation in the Credit Recovery program. Additionally, your child may be required to recover instructional time due to excessive absences in order to avoid receiving a grade of FA
(Failure due to Attendance), which is assigned when a student exceeds 4 absences in a quarter course, 8 in a semester course, or 15 in a yearlong course.
Greenwood High School will offer Credit Recovery over two weeks:
Monday–Thursday, June 1–4, and June 8–11, 2026.
Your child is expected to attend both weeks, with one session per course. Up to two courses may be recovered during this time:
⃞ Math ▢ Science ▢ English ▢ Social Studies ⃞ Makeup Hours Students are required to report to the cafeteria no later than the following times:
● 8:00 a.m. for morning sessions (instruction ends at 12:00 p.m.)
● 12:00 p.m. – 12:30 p.m. Lunch break
● 12:30 p.m. for afternoon sessions (instruction ends at 4:30 p.m.)
Please note: Tardiness and absences are not permitted and may result in dismissal from the Credit Recovery program.
Participation in the credit recovery program is likely to affect eligibility for National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) play.
Important Notes:
● All make-up hours must be completed for a class with a failing grade before beginning Credit Recovery.
● Attendance is mandatory for all instructional hours each day.
● Students must wear their school ID and bring a fully charged Chromebook ● Phone use is prohibited during sessions.
● Students must remain engaged, demonstrate appropriate behavior, and avoid disciplinary issues. ● A minimum score of 60% must be earned on all coursework.
● All Greenwood High School and District 50 policies will be enforced.
Credit Recovery will be held on campus at no cost.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided, but transportation will not be available. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the school at (864) 941-5600.
