Chase Pridgen has been named the Head Baseball Coach at Greenwood High School. Pridgen, who has served as the interim head coach during the 2025 season, will now officially lead the Eagles baseball program.
“During his interim tenure, Coach Pridgen demonstrated strong leadership and a true commitment to player development,” GHS Athletic Director Sparky Hudson stated. “Under this guidance, the team has shown notable growth on and off the field, which reflects Coach Pridgen’s dedication to excellence and teamwork.”
“Coach Pridgen has earned the respect of our student-athletes, parents, and coaching staff,” Principal Kathryn Benjamin stated. “His leadership this season and vision for the future of our baseball program made him the clear choice to continue in this role.”
Coach Pridgen brings over 10 years of coaching and playing experience as a Greenwood Eagle. At Greenwood High, he has committed to fostering a culture of sportsmanship, academic achievement, and athletic success.
Coach Pridgen stated, “It is an honor to continue serving as head coach of a baseball program with such a rich history and tradition. It is a privilege to shape the lives of student-athletes who will lead our school and community in the future. Greenwood High holds a special place in my heart, and I’m excited about the future of our baseball program.”
