I am currently the Associate Principal at Greenwood High School where I also have the privilege of being the twelfth-grade administrator.  My educational background includes earning two degrees from Clemson University, a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education/Social Studies, and a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision.  In addition, I received my Doctor of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of South Carolina.  During the course work for my doctoral degree, I conducted research to determine the best means of supporting and retaining new teachers, which is the basis of my dissertation, “Stemming the Tide of Teacher Turnover: Supporting New Teachers Through A Comprehensive Mentoring Program” published in 2021.  I also have an AP U.S. History Certification, Read to Succeed Certification and a Gifted and Talented Endorsement. Prior to joining the staff at Greenwood High School in 2016, I taught United States History in the Greenville County School District.  While there I had the honor of being selected to write the United States History Curriculum for the district in 2014. I also worked closely with area colleges to foster the growth of student teachers.
