Attendance can be checked in PowerSchool. Clicking on the number of absences will show the dates missed in each class. Once an absence has been recovered it will show SC-REC.
There have been changes to attendance recovery for over 8 absences in a semester class, 4 absences in a quarter class, or 15 absences in a year long class. All absences are included in this total (medical, parent note, etc.) as no absence is excused from seat time. Once you have exceeded the number of absences in a class you must recover the seat time to be eligible to earn credit for the class. If you do not recover attendance, even if you pass the course you will receive an FA (failure due to attendance) which is equivalent to a 50%. Receiving an FA in a class deems the class ineligible for credit recovery (summer school with a final grade of 51%-59%). Attendance recovery will begin on Wednesday, September 4th from 3:30 pm-5:30 pm in the Greenwood High School media center. Students must have registered by the Friday prior and have transportation home at 5:30 pm. Students may only make up hours during this time, the half day of school on Wednesday, December 18th (registration required), and Intercession (October 1st & 2nd, December 19th & 20th). Students must recover absences in the semester in which they were received. Don't delay and get an FA!

- Report to the Media Center for your room assignment immediately after school. If you are not in the media center for room assignments, you can not earn hours.
- Bring a charged chromebook, as you will earn your hours by working on assignments. If you do no work, you do not earn hours.
