Sally Moore is a proud GHS alumna (Class of 2001) who grew up right here in Greenwood. Inspired by her mother, who was also a teacher, Mrs. Moore discovered her passion for education and mathematics at a young age. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Mathematics Education from Anderson University (2005), a Master’s in Education from Walden University (2011), and an Educational Specialist degree (Ed.S.) from Clemson University (2018). Sally began her education career right here at GHS as a mathematics teacher from 2005-2018. She then moved into an Assistant Principal position at Northside Middle School from 2018-2022. She was named Associate Principal of Emerald High School in 2022, where she served in the role for 4 years before moving to GHS in the same role this school year. Outside of the classroom, Sally is deeply rooted in the local community. She and her husband, Thomas—a teacher at Brewer Middle School and Cross Country coach at GHS—have been married for 21 years and are the proud parents of three daughters: Lila (18), Violet (16), and Mary Anders (11). Sally is actively involved at New Covenant Church and loves staying active by competing and performing locally with the Next Generation Cloggers Adult Clogging Team. In her free time, she enjoys unwinding with a good book and dreaming of relaxing on a tropical beach.
