Race For The Ring

As you all very well know this is our final chance for a shot at the ring.  Now is the time that we put it all together.  We, the seniors, must put our efforts together and make this think work.  There were mistakes that our predecessors may have made that may have jeopardized our chance for the previous year; we won’t make the same mistakes.  There are going to be stricter rules on underclassmen and seniors in certain area.  These rules won’t be outrageous but they will be for the greater good of our program.  We need to make sure that there is not a doubt in anyone’s mind in August that Greenwood is back to its dominant self.  We are going to have to get meaner than we were this previous year or we might as well get ready to be mediocre once again.  People have to know that they were going to get stroked for 48 minutes when they play Greenwood.

Another one of our goals is to build camaraderie within the team as a whole.  Ninth and tenth graders shouldn’t feel as if they are not part of the program.  We should all feel like one unit.  We, the seniors, have come up with a plan to govern ourselves away from the field.  There will be representatives from each class that will have to answer for their class each week.

Remember guys, “If you sacrifice little – you gain little.”

"It takes A little more to be a champion."
