·        Scored 55 Touchdowns during High School Career 1944-1947

 

·        Scored 20 Touchdowns during 1945 Season including 5 in one game vs. Woodruff

 

·        Holds the School record for Most Points Scored in a Career and is tied for the Most Points Scored in a Game

 

·        Captain of the 1947 Team

 

·        Made the S.C. All State Team in both 1946 and 1947

 

·        Chosen to the All South Team in 1947

 

·        Played in the Shrine Bowl All Star Game in 1947

 

·        Received an Athletic Scholarship to Furman University

 

·        Captain of 1951 Furman Team

 

·        Voted Most Athletic Student at Furman University in 1951

 

·        Elected to the Furman University Hall of Fame in 1984

 

·        Played Football while a Member of the U.S. Army in 1953 & 1954

 

·        Member of Greenville First Baptist Church

 

·        Sunday School Teacher for 30 years, Chairman Board of Deacons

 

·        He & his Wife, the former Keeter Pearce, donated New Band Uniforms to Furman University
