Luther A. Bradley

Luther Bradley, born in Hemingway, S.C., is a 1946 graduate of Tomlinson High in

 

Kingstree, S.C.  An outstanding high school athlete, he excelled in football and received

 

an athletic scholarship to attend South Carolina State University.  He was an All

 

Conference Player in 1948 and an All American in 1949.  He has been inducted into the

 

S.C. State University Hall of Fame.  He was an Assistant Coach at Brewer High School

 

from 1951 to 1955 and was the Head Football Coach from 1956-1968.  While the head

 

coach at Brewer, his teams won approximately 80% of their games.  In 1967, they lost

 

7-6 to Carver High in the State Championship Game.
