Greenwood Choral Member Meeting
Attendance: Gina Jolly, Pam
Thompson, Tanya Conner, Holly Logeass, Sharon Woolbright, Lisa S. Smith, Kris
Abell, Debbie Tharpe, Marcia Young, and Lisa Genson
Lisa Genson welcomed everyone
to the meeting and presented everyone with an agenda for the meeting.
Marcia Young started by
presenting the updated financial report. The final New York City payment is coming up and
everyone needs to get caught up on all fees. Marcia will have a table set up at
Dinner Theatre for students and parents to make final payments on fees owed.
Dinner Theatre is coming up
in two weeks, Thursday, March 1st. Lisa Smith volunteered to do the tickets for
Dinner Theatre. The cost will be $14.00. It was also decided that Northside Baptist Church
Family Life
Center would be the
location for Dinner Theatre. Pam Thompson said the cost would be $225.
Northside was decided on after looking at other locations. Other locations were
a little over $800 or more. Other locations were looked at and it was decided
that there would not be enough room. Sharon Woolbright asked how students would
get tickets that were reserved from paid memberships. Mrs. Jolly said that they
would come home with the students in an envelope with the name on the envelope.
Be sure and ask your child about these tickets. Ticket pre-sales will start
Thursday, February 15th. Lisa Genson stated that she would talk to
Rhonda about doing some publicity. It was decided that the choral boosters
would not do a raffle this time. Rice Video will have a table set up for the
sale of videos for Dinner Theatre. We will be responsible for a minimum of 10. Cost
is $31.50. A committee to help with food was established consisting of Pam
Thompson, Lisa Smith, Sharon Woolbright, Kris Abell and Holly Logeass. Pam will
ask Joey from Capri’s if we can put the salad
on the table along with the desserts before dinner so that ticket buyers
wouldn’t have to make more than one trip. Lisa Genson asked if we could get
Rick at Northside Baptist to put Dinner Theatre on their sign. Pam said that
she would check in to this.
New York City Trip
Mrs. Jolly stated that the
final payment for the trip needed to be in the week of the 19th.
There will be a mandatory student/parent meeting for the trip to be announced
soon. Pam will send out an email to remind everyone about their student balances.
All payments are in for attire ordered second semester. State Choral Festival Mrs.
Jolly stated that we couldn’t use school busses and that the fee for two
charter busses is $1400.00. This is an all day event. One option mentioned by
Lisa was letting the fee be divided among the students but no decision was made.
This will be discussed at another meeting.
Next meeting will be Tuesday,
March 13th in the choral room at GHS.
